BAFE LogiScan Fire and Security

BAFE accreditation for LogiScan also marks an industry milestone

LogiScan Fire and Security Ltd is celebrating a unique industry milestone after becoming the 500th company in the UK to secure British Approvals for Fire Equipment (BAFE) SP203-1 third party certification accreditation via the National Security Inspectorate (NSI).

British Approvals for Fire Equipment (BAFE) has certified the Wellington-based company as meeting the requirements for the Design, Installation, Commissioning/Handover and Maintenance of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems under its SP203-1 scheme.

BAFE is the independent organisation dedicated to improving standards in fire protection. The accreditation means LogiScan is now among its registered companies and can use the BAFE mark.

It is a double celebration for LogiScan as the company has also been awarded Gold Fire by the NSI, the leading approvals and certification body for the security industry, which ensures companies consistently deliver service excellence.

Paul Cavill, Engineering Director at LogiScan, is responsible for managing the company’s Quality System and ensuring compliance with British and International Standards.

He said the company was very proud that approval is both a milestone for NSI and BAFE, as well as a significant achievement for the LogiScan team, who have worked so hard to achieve it.

“We are committed to delivering high quality fire and security services and value the third party scrutiny of our business and technical competence,” said Paul.

“The NSI audits have established a continuous improvement culture within our business and their feedback helps to drive our business forward.  The use of the BAFE and NSI logos mean our clients can be confident in the high standard of our services.”

Like its parent company, Plymouth-based Securi-Guard Fire and Security, the South West’s largest independent fire and security specialist, LogiScan is committed to the highest levels of professionalism and client satisfaction.

The company is already NSI Gold accredited for security systems and is also approved under the Government’s SafeContractor scheme, which focuses on ensuring the highest standards of health and safety in the workplace.

“The business continues to go from strength to strength and it is this kind of industry recognition that gives both our existing and prospective clients confidence in our ability to consistently deliver excellence, across all our services,” added Paul.
